HURST FAMILY EXHIBIT HALL
Women In Agriculture
Discover the legacy of trailblazing women who transformed agriculture through vision, resilience, and determination. This exhibit highlights 11 remarkable women and features a timeline beginning in 1636 with the first woman to own land and petition for the right to vote, and continuing through 2007 when the U.S. Census reported that 2 out of every 10 farms were run by women. Together, their stories show how women have shaped farming for nearly four centuries and continue to play a vital role in American agriculture today.
